Last week, we had the awesome opportunity to gather with a group of designers, developers and engineers for the first ever epicShops UI/UX Competition at Zeal Headquarters.
The goal of the meet-up was to create a new User Interface for one of our latest website innovations, Pop Cards. We designed the competition, presented the rules, and offered cash prizes to the winning team. A big thanks to the people at Zeal and Rogue Tech Hub for spreading the word – we were thrilled with the turnout!
During the past several months, we’ve been excitedly working on launching our epicToolbox – a set of website features that work to give you greater control of your site, boost customer retention, and ultimately make you more money! We decided one of the tools in the web app, Pop Cards, could use some design love to make the User Experience cleaner, prettier…all-around better. The goal of the competition was to create better flow and organization for this epicToolbox feature.
Attendees split into groups of two, worked for nearly two hours to create some really fantastic ideas for our web app, and then presented their ideas for judging by our Epic teammates, Jay and Rachel, and Trevor Parrish from Zeal. The winning design was awarded a cash prize for each team member, and of course, our unwavering appreciation and respect for coming out and creating some really awesome ideas!
Thank you to the participating teams!

At epicShops, we thrive on creating new ideas and services, massive brainstorming sessions, and utilizing everyone’s unique talents on our team. We’re thrilled to have met these other inventive developers and designers in our area, and so appreciate everyone’s ideas and enthusiasm. We look forward to hosting another Epic gathering soon!
